Children’s Program – Upcoming Topics

As mentioned in previous posts, Trinity’s children are exploring and experiencing lifestyles, languages, and traditions of people around the world. We are identifying common bonds and celebrating diversity. If you have knowledge or an interest in any of the topics below, you can share it with the kids!  Contact Amy at: mail@tumc.org.

  • Jan. 29 – Iroquois Mid-Winter Ceremony
  • Feb. 5 – Africa (Special offering Africa University)
  • Feb. 12 – Islam (Mawlid al-Nabi Day)
  • Feb. 19 – Egypt (Festival of Neteret Bastet)
  • Feb. 26 – Greece (Feast of Artemis)
  • Mar. 4 – Judaism (Purim), led by the Lima/Mann family
  • Mar. 11 – Hindu (Sikh New Year)
  • Mar. 18 – Ireland (St. Patrick’s Day)
  • Mar. 25 – Latin America (Cesar Chavez)

Sunday Worship Celebrations

9:15 am: imprints Celebration - An alternative service featuring Taize chants, body prayers, and guest artists.

10:30 am:

  • earthbound Celebration -  A small, intimate gathering with a playful mix of Nature-based and Christian elements.
  • Sunday School –  Something for everyone!
    • Children: Children K-5 have spiritual education Trinity style.  Lessons are based on the curriculum “A Joyful Path”, a progressive Christian children’s curriculum that celebrates a joy-filled life, compassion for all, and the wisdom found within.  Middle School and Sr. High Youth meet upstairs and enjoy lessons designed to encourage spiritual exploration and encourage community service.
    • Adults: Choose from Conversational Spanish, Meditation, Social Justice, and Trinity 101.

11:30 amweave Celebration -  Blends alternative and traditional elements and features the Celebration Choir.
