At each of the Sunday celebrations, there is a Children's Time early in the service where children may come forward and hear a special story from one of our pastors or another friend. Then, the children may return to those who brought them or go to the children's area for Sunday School, which consists of special activities, stories, crafts, or games, as well as a snack. During the school year, Wednesday evening activities begin with dinner, served at 6:00 p.m. On the menu are soups, sandwiches, and some wonderful desserts! To make reservations, call the church office at 459-5835 by 4:00 p.m. on the preceding Monday. After dinner, kids participate in musical and other fun activities while adults take part in Wednesday Night Alive classes and adult choir rehearsal.Then from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. we have Kids' Club, which includes art, games, service projects, and free play time. Parents' Night Out is held at the church building from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month during the school year. This is a fun time for kids to play and parents to enjoy a break. Activities include lots of arts and crafts, games, and a movie. This program has twice been voted "Austin's Best Parents' Night Out" by the Austin Chronicle. The cost is $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child in a family. Please call the Children's Director (512-459-5835, ext. 14) by the Wednesday prior to Parents' Night Out to make a reservation, or for more information. |
