Rev. Dr. Sid Hall, III - Minister of Celebration
|
Rev. Dr. Sid Hall, III has served as Trinity's Minister of Celebration since June 1988 and is a leader in the Reconciling Ministries Network within the United Methodist Church. He is a native of Kokomo, Indiana and has been serving United Methodist congregations in Indiana and Texas since 1978. He holds a Bachelor's from the University of Indianapolis, a Master's from the Perkins School of Theology, and a doctorate from SMU. Sid is also the author of Christian Anti-Semitism and Paul's Theology (Fortress Press, 1993). He is married to Mary Pratt, a Starbucks Manager and a graduate student in Counseling at St. Edward's University in Austin. Sid and Mary have four children, Rachel (a cafe manager at Borders Books in Austin), David (an English & Journalism student at Chapman University in California), Daniel (a student at Bowie High School), and Angela (a student at Austin High School).

Rev. Susan Sprague - Minister of Community Life
|
Rev. Susan Sprague serves as the Minister of Community Life at Trinity and is currently on her second appointment to Trinity, for a total of fifteen years. Susan received her Bachelor's from Vanderbilt University and Master's from the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville. She also brings to the Trinity community a wealth of experience as a campus minister, having served at Yale University, the University of Louisville, and six years as the executive director of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Texas at Austin. Susan's life-partner is Donald Tietjen, an engineer with FreeScale.

Julie Aziz - Youth Director

Julie Aziz has facilitated spiritual education for youth and adults as a counselor, a retreat facilitator, a hospice chaplain, and a group leader, among other professional roles. She holds a Masters in Social Work from UT Austin, and also completed a two-year program in interfaith ministry; she is ordained through One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. Julie writes and teaches original curriculum for both youth and adults.
In addition to leading Trinity's youth group, Julie edits a journal for interfaith families, teaches adult classes and groups, and chases after her toddler son.

Geoffrey R. Korf - Music and Arts Director

Geoffrey R. Korf joined Trinity in June 2006 as Music and Arts Director. He studied choral conducting while earning his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University, Bloomington, and is currently working on a Master of Music Education with Choral emphasis and a music teaching certification at Texas State University, San Marcos. Geoffrey lives in south Austin with two canine friends. He loves sleeping, trees, and thunderstorms.

Christine Kraemer - Office Administrator

Christine Kraemer began her second tenure as Trinity's office administrator in October 2007 after completing a PhD in Religion and Literature at Boston University, with a project entitled "The Erotic Fringe: Sexual Minorities and Religion in Contemporary American Literature and Film."
In addition to her administrative work, Christine is an event organizer, Pagan priestess, copyeditor, and massage therapy student. Her current projects include a conference at Boston University on religion and comics ("Graven Images," to be held in April 2008), editing for the New Testament Language Project, and workshop coordination for the local Pagan community. She also teaches workshops in Pagan spirituality, writes and facilitates public ritual, and acts as a celebrant for sacred unions and other life events.

Jen Perkins - Children's Director

Jen Perkins is originally from Columbia, South Carolina, but upon visiting her mother in Austin during the summer of 2004, Jen decided that she liked the city so much that she would stay.
Jen has always loved working with children. She has been a lead teacher at several pre-schools, including a non-profit serving underprivileged families, as well as a substitute teacher for Round Rock ISD and Austin ISD. Jen has greatly enjoyed her experiences working in children's theater and teaching drama classes. Her volunteer experiences include teaching Vacation Bible School, working in a church nursery, candy striping in the children's center at a hospital in Lexington, SC. and being a summer camp counselor. Currently, Jen works with a few different families to provide respite care for girls with special needs.
Jen hold an Associates Degree in History from Austin Community College and is working on her Bachelors at Texas State in San Marcos. Her major is History with a Minor in Religious Studies. After graduation, Jen plans to transfer to the University of Texas.
Jen lives in South Austin with her husband Ross and their Basset hound, Maggie.
